Vatican approves Aliens' existence ?
Four hundred years after it locked up Galileo for challenging the view that the Earth was the center of the universe, the Vatican has called in experts to study the possibility of extraterrestrial alien life and its implication for the Catholic Church.
"The questions of life's origins and of whether life exists elsewhere in the universe are very suitable and deserve serious consideration, " said the Rev. Jose Gabriel Funes, an astronomer and director of the Vatican Observatory.
Funes, a Jesuit priest, presented the results Tuesday of a five-day conference that gathered astronomers, physicists, biologists and other experts to discuss the budding field of astrobiology — the study of the origin of life and its existence elsewhere in the cosmos.
Funes said the possibility of alien life raises "many philosophical and theological implications" but added that the gathering was mainly focused on the scientific perspective and how different disciplines can be used to explore the issue.
Chris Impey, an astronomy professor at the University of Arizona, said it was appropriate that the Vatican would host such a meeting.
"Both science and religion posit life as a special outcome of a vast and mostly inhospitable universe," he told a news conference Tuesday. "There is a rich middle ground for dialogue between the practitioners of astrobiology and those who seek to understand the meaning of our existence in a biological universe."
Thirty scientists, including non-Catholics, from the U.S., France, Britain, Switzerland, Italy and Chile attended the conference, called to explore among other issues "whether sentient life forms exist on other worlds

UFO on BBC Show!
A UFO mystery has been sparked after a flashing light was spotted on BBC breakfast television.
Viewers watched in amazement as the white probe-like object appeared on the Look North morning show.
It was described as "intriguing" and a "genuine mystery" by UFO expert Nick Pope.
The UFO was captured on a webcam on Tuesday as it passed over the Gateshead Millennium Bridge on the River Tyne.
Viewers spotted the object when pictures from the weather camera were used as a backdrop on the breakfast show behind presenter Colin Briggs.
Former MoD UFO investigator Mr Pope said: "At first I thought it was a bird, but the slowed down footage seems to rule this out. It's an intriguing film and a genuine mystery."

Microbes wakeup after 120000 yrs
After more than 120,000 years trapped beneath a block of ice in Greenland, a tiny microbe has awoken. The long-lasting bacteria may hold clues to what life forms might exist on other planets.
The new bacteria species was found nearly 2 miles beneath a Greenland glacier, where temperatures can dip well below freezing, pressure soars, and food and oxygen are scarce.
"We don't know what state they were in," said study team member Jean Brenchley of Pennsylvania State University. "They could've been dormant, or they could've been slowly metabolizing, but we don't know for sure."
Dormant would mean the bacteria were in a spore-like state in which there's not a lot of metabolism going on, so the bacteria wouldn't be reproducing much. It's possible the bacteria could have been slowly metabolizing and replicating.
"Microbes have found ways to survive in harsh conditions for long times that we don't yet fully understand," Brenchley told LiveScience.
To coax the bacteria back to life, Brenchley, Jennifer Loveland-Curtze and their Penn State colleagues incubated the samples at 36 degrees Fahrenheit (2 degrees Celsius) for seven months, followed by more than four months at 41 degrees F (5 degrees C).
The resulting colonies of the originally purple-brown bacteria, now named Herminiimonas glaciei, are alive and well.(from livescience )

Mysterious UFO sightings may go hand in hand with a puzzling natural phenomenon known as sprites — flashes high in the atmosphere triggered by thunderstorms.
The dancing lights have appeared above most thunderstorms throughout history, but researchers did not start studying them until one accidentally recorded a sighting on camera in 1989.
"Lightning from the thunderstorm excites the electric field above, producing a flash of light called a sprite," said Colin Price, a geophysicist at Tel Aviv University in Israel. "We now understand that only a specific type of lightning is the trigger that initiates sprites aloft."
Researchers have detected the flashes between 35 and 80 miles (56-129 km) from the ground, far above the 7 to 10 miles (11-16 km) where usual lightning occurs. Sprites can take the form of fast-paced balls of electricity, although previous footage has suggested streaks or tendrils.
The cause or function of the flashes remains murky, but Price suggested that they could explain some of the UFO reports which have cropped up over the years. That might provide some solace for UFO enthusiasts disappointed by human-caused hoaxes in the past.

Nazca Lines : Peru
Recently I read some articles about the mysterious Nazca Lines in Peru and it is so crazily interesting.I even saw a Documentary about the Nazca Linez which has really captivated people the world over.Could these geoglyphs be effigies of ancient animal gods or patterns of constellations? Are they roads, star pointers, maybe even a gigantic map? If the people who lived here 2,000 years ago had only a simple technology, how did they manage to construct such precise figures? Did they have a plan? If so, who ordained it? It all seems so otherworldly. To comprehend the Nasca lines, created by the removal of desert rock to reveal the pale pink sand beneath, visitors have proposed every imaginable explanation - from runways for spaceships to tracks for Olympic athletes, from op art to pop art, to astronomical observatories.
It is believed that the geoglyphs were built by a people called the Nasca- but why and how they created these wonders of the world has defied explanation.
As much as the lines awe us, we marvel equally at the imagination of the people who have sought explanations for them.

NASA Astronaut claims "Aliens exist " !

UFO activities rise in North India
Today,30th June, it is reported on the IBN News channel about a UFO sighting which lasted for two hours , near Mansa region ,Punjab,North India.A video footage showed a coloured ball of light, moving and hovering around the skies.
On May 27th a ball of fire came hurtling from the night skies and fell in a field adjacent to a petrol pump on Hoshiarpur-Tanda road in Hoshiarpur, Punjab, convincing owner Palwinder Singh that it’s a meteorite.
A month ago, a similar object had fallen in Hotipur village in Sangrur district, prompting a Geological Survey of India team to visit the site and examine it. The unidentified flying object fell in the field in Lachowal area of the district at 8.45 pm last Friday, when the petrol pump staff were emptying a diesel tanker, setting nearby bushes ablaze.
On seeing the fire, they rushed there and extinguished it.

UFO at Cardiff ?!
A police helicopter crew gave chase to a UFO after it almost collided with their aircraft near a military base in Cardiff(England).
The pilot was forced to bank sharply to avoid being hit by the mystery aircraft as the helicopter was returning to the Ministry of Defence base of St Athan, near Cardiff.
The three crew, who described the UFO as 'flying saucer-shaped', then gave chase, getting as far as the North Devon coast before they ran low on fuel, it was reported.
The police aircraft was hovering at 500ft and waiting clearance to land on June 7, when those onboard spotted the other craft hurtling towards them from below.
A spokesman for South Wales Police said: "We can confirm the Air Support Unit sighted an unusual aircraft. This was reported to the relevant authorities for their investigation."
It was reported that the aircraft closed in at great speed, aiming straight for the helicopter which swerved sharply.
The helicopter crew are said to have crossed the Bristol channel in pursuit of the UFO, but lost sight of it and had to turn back due to a fuel shortage.
The sighting comes weeks after the most comprehensive Government files on UFO activity are opened to the public for the first time today and they disclose that even air traffic controllers and police officers have seen mysterious craft in the skies over Britain.

Alien Attack on Romania flight ?
A UFO had a mid-air collision with a fighter jet over central Europe, a leaked report has revealed. Defence chiefs are investigating claims that the Romanian MIG 21 fighter plane was struck by 'strange objects'. The official report says the cockpit of the jet was shattered. Romanian defence ministry officials have ruled out all normal types of collision such as birdstrikes, ice or small meteorites. Chief investigator Commander Nicolae Grigorie said in the report: 'We can definitely say what this thing was not, but we cannot say what it was.' The impact on a training flight above Transylvania took only 67 milliseconds and was recorded on an in-flight video camera. Pilot Marin Mitrica was slightly injured but managed to land the plane safely after the incident around Sept.07

Venusian atmosphere contains structure that resembles the eye of a hurricane.
It is something that can puzzle many. European Space Agency’s Venus Express spacecraft is keenly observing the south pole of Venus. Scientists found a startling phenomenon . It is 1400 mile vortex with an eye at the center.
The core of the vortex appears very bright, probably indicating a lot of atmospheric gases are moving downward in the region, which creates a depression at the cloud-tops, making the region hotter.
However, some scietists are perplexed to find structural similaroty to the North Pole of the earth. In addition this phenomenon was not there several years back during Pioneer Venus mission in 1979.

Tiny UFOs !?

All of us are focused on identifying the large visible extraterrestrial UFOs. These UFOs are not easy to locate as they use gravity waves and electromagnetic flux for creating effecting shield. The shields make them effectively invisible with our terrestrial technologies. The technology of stealth is much superior in nature.
However, there are many micro level UFOs and Unidentified Submerged Objects (USOs) that hover our atmosphere and under ocean water of extraterrestrial origin. These micro UFOs and USOs forms the basis of collecting information on our earth for the advanced extraterrestrial civilizations.
The micro UFOs have life forms. They multiply and evolve just like any other life forms in the earth. Their organic nature makes it impossible for us to be able to recognize them. These micro UFOs and USOs collect information on a daily basis and transmit the same to the extraterrestrial organizations. Something like the NANO Technology we have developed...doesn't it seem obvious that ETs far far ahead of us could have developed superior Nano Tec than us that can escape our eyes and also the 5 senses !

The longest-running search for radio signals from alien civilizations is getting a burst of new data from an upgraded telescope. That means dramatically improved search capabilities, project scientists say—but the full benefits will be realized only with public participation. They’re are calling for new volunteers for SETI@home, a project in which ordinary citizens donate unused time on their computers to let the machines help comb through the search data.Since it launched eight years ago, the University of California, Berkeley-based SETI@home has signed up more than 5 million interested volunteers, according to project scientists. It boasts the largest community of dedicated users of any Internet computing project, they said: 170,000 devotees on 320,000 computers. This number of computers should rise by an additional million to handle the expanded data flow.The increased amount of data is a result of new and more sensitive receivers and other improvements to the world’s largest radio telescope in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, said project leaders.The 1,000-foot wide Arecibo dish, which fills a valley in Puerto Rico, is part of the National Astronomy and Ionosphere Center operated by Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y. Peeping out between the knees of two of the girls is the face of a child...The eerie image - clear enough to show a pair of eyes, a nose, a mouth and hair - was captured by 17-year-old Matthew Summers on his mobile phone in Billingham, Teesside. This photo joins a long line of apparently paranormal snaps.
